We bought two of these machines, the second one by mistake. After 4 days I am still waiting for the company to send me the return paperwork so I can send the second machine back. Instead they asked for me to keep it. Well, these are the reasons why we are not keeping the machine, nor will we do any more business with this company: A) The temperature gauge does maintain temperature--Good job there B) The instructions are worthless. We ended up going to Youtube and finding a link that explained how to use the machine, and she even said that the instructions are worthless. C) There is no way to adjust the day count in the event that the power goes out, which it did yesterday at our house. Now we are two days behind on our count and we have to move the eggs on day 14. D) There is no way to regulate the humidity. If you add too much water the humidity will max out at 100%. if you don't add enough the machine will sound an alarm every couple of hours. Primary Humidity should be between 40 and 50, and if you add too much water, which there is no water indicator to tell you when to stop, the humidity will jump up to 100%. If not enough you will be getting up in the middle of the night adding water to silence the alarm. There is no happy medium on this machine. There are better machines on the market with companies that will refund your money, this is the 1st time that we have had any problems returning an item to an Amazon vendor. We have been happy with the service that we have from Amazon thus far, just not this vendor with this machine. Edwin P. from Texas

What I liked best about this product was the easy set up. The temperature control was good. The only problem we had was humidity control, most likely because it's extremely humid where we live. We had 17 out of 18 eggs hatch in spite of 2 electrical outages and some brown outs. Suggest you put a piece of tape with your start date if you live in an area that is prone to outages. With outages you must restart your Day count. All in all a great product.

Description says easy to clean but it most definitely is not! There are 12 tiny screws that need removed to get the base apart, then there are unremovable wires attached to the plastic separator so it can’t be rinsed in any way. The bottom water tray has numerous areas that you have to use a toothbrush or something similar to clean around and then wipe it out with paper towels. If you get water over the base inner trays it goes directly into the electronics and there’s nothing there to keep it from running in so you can’t actually wash the base out at all. The center fan/heating unit cannot be cleaned easily either and since it has a mesh over that area, everything from the hatching chicks drips down onto the fan. The water fill hole is also inconveniently located on the back side so you have to turn it around to fill. On the good side it seems to heat pretty well and be fairly consistent on temperature and humidity readings when checked with another thermometer/hygrometer and being able to see through the lid is nice. Pictures that are provided are from only hatching 3 ducklings so I can imagine the mess from 55 will be unbelievable.

It constantly beeps because the alarm parameters don’t actually work; it will always freak out under 45% humidity. I actually prefer 30% for first 18 days so this is inconvenient. It even says “made in china” instead of a brand name right on the top. This incubator is ghetto. And for all my Americans: there is no freedom units in this incubator. Good opportunity to learn Celsius I guess HAHA
