We used this to successfully hatch 3 rescued duck eggs from the backyard. However, the middle of the incubator seems too hot to use. Bottom line, got the job done.

We call it robo feeder. We have had it for years and never had a problem. It is great for when we are not home or go on vacation. It has a spot for a back up battery incase the power goes out. Super accurate, 1 seving is almost a full tablespoon (it depends on the dry food you use) Only downsides are it's military time and I can only feed the cat with it 4 times. My cat is a fast eater and then throws up, so we space out his morning and evening feedings. Since robo feeder will only dispense food 4 times he gets more food at once, which isn't a problem for most people.

My daughter found abandoned eggs in the park. A few were smashed and she asked to bring the rest home. We bought this and put the eggs in here. Googled the best temp for ducks. Rotated and spritzed the eggs regularly and 28 days later 3 of the 4 are hatching. It is small and some of our eggs were big for their assigned spot. But it worked.

got it almost 6 months ago for cat feeding. very happy with it! good: - It is very easy to set up once you glance over instructions. - once you set it up, just add food time after time and remember to check that it has enough food in storage - pretty accurately keeps your pet fed and saves you morning sleep and evening worries (if you are late or kids forgot to feed fur-baby - no worries) - if you accidentally stuck away for night or day - your pet is safe - we never had to use the voice recording feature. Cat gust knows time without any calls. bad side: - unreliable back up battery, after few months of use no power = no food :(. we always keep it plugged in and were sure that with the built in back up we are safe for a hurricane season power offs. just found out that it is not so. - dark top and the absence of any clear indicators makes it impossible to see when you need to add food to the feeder. you have to set a reminder, to open the top and check regularly. - portions are small. For large cat you need to set at least 10 portions for a day (5 and 5 + snack)

I really like the concept of an automatic feeder and it's extremely useful to have this dispense food at regular intervals throughout the day. That being said, this implementation just seems a bit... lacking. It's the absolute opposite of intuitive, and even though I consider myself quite tech-savvy, I still have to look at the manual to figure out how to do the most basic things. Most actions require holding down two small buttons at one time and pressing repeatedly, over and over, to get the value where you want. It's as if the creators did absolutely zero user testing or didn't focus at all on the actual experience of using this device, since most interactions are far more complex than they need to be. One other fairly major issue I have with the device is that if it's unplugged, all my settings seem to reset (which, as you can guess from what I said before, is quite annoying since resetting everything to the correct settings takes forever and is an absolute pain). This happens regularly since my cats move around the area and occasionally unplug the device, or if I lose power I have to redo everything. In the short period of time I've had the device, I've had to completely redo all the settings 3 times. Other than all that, the device works as expected and dispenses food if your settings are correct, which is why I'm still giving it the stars that I am: My cats do eat from it and it's made my life a lot easier. I just really wish there were some UI/UX improvements and the device was made more simple.

With an elderly thespian cat who got fed a little something when he performed his very convincing starving act, but ended up vomiting because his eyes were bigger than his stomach, this feeder is a godsend. Four feedings per 24 hours possible. Adjustable portion sizes were confusing at first since they are proportioned by grams and I, being an American, don't understand that funky gram thang, but with a little trial and error, plus some carpet cleaner, we worked it out and have returned to our days of freedom and clean floors rather than having to be back home every couple of hours to manually feed Poor Mr. Little Buddy. Said Little Buddy comes a'runnin' when he hears the gears that grind the hopper open and drop his delicious kibbles into the bowl. Who knew a 12-year-old cat could run so fast! Odd, though, that the pre-recorded message to call him doesn't sound until he's already halfway through the portion, but it's only odd and does not deduct points from the final score. Husband says he hasn't figured out how to clean the gears yet, but he's handy dandy like the feeder so I'm not too worried.

The feeder is very cute and functional. The lid is a little difficult to turn to get food in it but manageable. When it comes to the settings make note, if you set your settings where you want them and for some reason the unit gets unplugged then you will have to redo the settings, it doesn't have memory once unplugged. I experimented with portions prior to setting what portion i wanted delivered at what time. There is a button for you to test the amount of food that comes out per serving. It's very little so i have mine set at 10 servings for breakfast and 10 servings at night for a 2 yr old cat that weighs 9.5lbs about 3/4 cup a day total. I loaded my batteries in the unit but they didn't work so i changed them and they still didn't work, so I'm assuming it's a defect but I'm happy just plugging it in. I'll fiddle with the battery connection later. The unit holds about 2.5 pounds of food. You can record your voice on the unit for your pet so that the unit speaks while dispensing food. Cute feature. Hope review helps. I took one star off for battery issue.
