I'm kind of new to raising chickens so I wasn't really sure what to expect from this. Thankfully, it is very easy to use and the directions are clear and easy to understand. I really appreciate that it is so compact and doesn't take up much room. You are able to add several eggs at once so it's a good use of your time without taking up too much space.

Only gave it one star because you can't give a no star rating. Instructions are lacking to say the least. All the buttons except 1 quit working right after we put our eggs in. Waste of money!!!

No instructions, hard to figure out, and didn't heat up like it is supposed to.

First there’s really no instructions. You have to figure it out by pressing buttons. The temperature is converted to Celsius. There’s no way I could figure out how to regulate the humidity. The temperature never stayed constant for more then a few seconds and the water reservoir continually leaked. This has no other purpose then maybe an elementary school project.

Scheduling time to rotate eggs; too small to hold regular eggs

I have used 5 gal bucket incubators with 13 watt bulbs for heat and hatched 7 beautiful chicks, and one had intestines hanging out because I barely helped it :( This incubator is very warm near the fan and very cold in the back. It didn't come with a sponge for the water area. I hatch the first chick on day 23... should be day 21, and he had intestines hanging out a little bit and is having trouble walking. I did everything right. I have others that failed in the incubator for various reasons, possibly not due to the inconsistent heat in the incubator... But I believe that this incubator is good for the 3 eggs closest to the heating unit and fan, but the ones at the outside edge are cold and take a longer time to hatch. I'm pretty sad about this chick... he isn't dead yet, but I'm not getting a name for it any time soon. I feel that the company is trying to offer a good value for the product, but it's not going to work. Unless you want to risk 21 days, and have to cut off your baby chicks head with scissors to end its pain, buy a better quality one, or go ahead and buy this one, rotate 2 or 3 times a day like I did and see what happens. Maybe I got a bad unit...
